Designer David Mascha was approached by Oglivy New York to work on projects for IBM including a “Power Your Planet,” “System Z,” and “System X” campaigns. Some of the resulting designs turned out as representations of infographic visuals and concepts. Very nice work.

iPhone 4 Hits Outer Space

Designer: Luke Geissbuhler

Cinematographer Luke Geissbuhler and his son recently embarked on a project to send an iPhone 4 and HD camera into outer space. With so many variables to overcome, it’s quite astonishing that Luke in fact accomplished the deed. It’s not necessarily the design I’m thrilled with, but simply the idea. The imagination of father and son as well as the ability to dream has left us with a small look into our outer bounds and proves that some things that used to be unimaginable are quite feasible with today’s technology and ambition.

MTVNHD Speaker Commercial

Designer: Rimantas Lukavicious

I’m not featuring this motion design piece to support MTV or HD or the concept of an organic environmental speaker for that matter. Rather, I’m fascinated with sinkholes, especially when naturally formed. The shape(s) made in this piece are very reminiscent of what would be an extraordinarily formed sink hole. The motions within aren’t so innovative, as I’ve seen similar elsewhere, but the flow from sinkhole to speaker is quite intriguing.

Moshun

Designer: Jeroen Krielaars

Short and sweet. This is really cool animated typography using simple shapes. I don’t know what would take longer, the static concepts or creating the motion?
