Minx Creative’s Promotional Package

Designer: Minx Creative

It’s always hard designing for yourself…I especially know that as I’ve been in the redesign process for what seems like forever. But Minx Creative is a prime example of successful promotion of design skills through design itself. Minx obviously has put time and an amazing amount of work into ensuring their skills are well represented. They’ve done this by creating a promotional book that passed through the hands of everyone at the studio. Its intention is to grab the attention of prospective clients Minx has come to like and pursue. Needless to say, the design of the book itself is simply awesome!

& SMITH’s Newest Additions

Designer: & SMITH

For those who don’t know, & SMITH is a small, independent design studio who creates work that encompasses identity, branding, print, web…well, just about everything. You may remembering having seen their work featured before as I was caught up in how quaint and crafty their pieces were. Over the past year, they’ve produced several new pieces that continue the tradition of intimacy and attention to detail in the various mediums ranging from packaging to web.

The Groovewear Artist Box

Designer: La Tigre

These are beautiful limited edition boxes, fine papers and special prints for the development of Groovewear identity. The original logo is designed by Emil Kozak. I’m really digging the box’s front and inside golden ink applications. I’m generally not a fan of special foils, but the odd shape formed by the logo’s components split the golden shine up, making a more intricate and engaging visual. Both the box material and inside papers look slick as well.

Roscoe’s Home Brew

Designer: Zack Custer

HUB Collective’s Zack Custer has created an awesome letterpress beer label for an avid home-brewer. These particular labels allow the brewer to hand write on the label the type of beer brewed, it’s date, and its alcohol by volume statistics.
The new brew image is of course accompanied by some other awesome collateral works, from cards to apparel.

This set of offset lithographic note cards combines amazing typography, design, and letter writing into one beautiful package. The art is in fact drawn from some of Tom Davie’s most popular designs.
