Inspiration for the Creative Mind

Introducing Sabadì

Designer: Happycentro

Happycentro is a studio begun in Verona, Italy in 1998. Their work always has something to say, relying heavily on experimentation and research. Their ability to strike beauty in odd materials and forms make Happycentro an entity to draw inspiration from time and again.

Sabadì is a brand that focuses on a typical sicilian method of making chocolate. The materials used come from Slow Food presidia with respect for small indigenous communities, the environment, and biodiversity.

The results are filled with personality and character. Included are six characters, six packages, and a crowner. What’s most attractive is the attention to detail relating to the relationship between the bars and their package. One often addresses the aesthetic of the package, making it achieve a goal of its own, and then addresses the goods within as a project in itself, making sure they too look quite nice. But the visual meshing of product and product packaging is where this piece is golden. The characters breathe, and their packaging comes alive. A fantastic job indeed.

PM24

Designer: CIP Creative

The new French restaurant called PM24 has received an identity from CIP Creative that surpasses many in its industry in my opinion. The branding system here is not just for show – it’s engaging. Its design was meant to create a contemporary yet sophisticated bistro style that married all the print and signage throughout in one cohesive body. Take a look at this uncommon approach to restaurant style.

Loft Investments Identity

Designer: Lundgren Lindqvist

Loft needed an identity that would separate them from the bulk of their industry with a little bit of an added quirkiness and experimentation. The identity was designed in a manner that corresponds with the nature of Loft’s approach when developing new products: bold graphics, bright color, heavy typography, and great use of infographics.

Neublok Branding

Designer: Neografik

Neografik, the Australian design agency, are the fellows behind the branding new visual identity of Neublok. They created everything including the logo, stationery, and website. One of the more interesting parts to the project is the type treatment. It’s apparent that it is inspired heavily by Helvetica Neue and Akzidenz Grotesk.

Infomotor Redesign

Designer: Martin Oberhauser

From one of my new favorite infographic designers comes the Infomotor redesign project. Infomotor is a start-up company specializing in transforming complex information into clear communication. Martin Oberhauser is an amazing infographic artist. So this project seems to be ‘a match made in heaven.’ Oberhauser took the brand and established a new minimalist and significant portrayal that engages audiences by making the leap from static to dynamic, and modern looking expression.
