Leandro Castelao Illustrations

Designer: Leandro Castelao

You may have seen Leandro Castelao’s work before. It’s appeared in everything from Computer Arts UK to Popular Mechanics USA. Castelao’s an illustrator from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Leandro’s work is very geometric, very spacious and often composed in a manner reminiscent to mechanics. It’s a very distinct style and certainly one that is applicable to just about any design solution. I have to say, I also love the simplicity of Leandro’s website!

Typeface Memory Game

Designer: PS2

The Typeface Memory game, designed by Brazilian studio PS2, is an attractively finished typographic memory game. Each player attempts to match ‘A’s of the same letter type. The player with the highest number of matching letters wins the game. Typographic information is included on the card, and there is general history in a separate folder included in the game. It’s an instructive game for aspiring designers and at the very least, a fun conversation starter for the type enthusiast. Buy your copy here.

The Winter Alps

Designer: Akos Major

Akos Major is a Budapest, Hungary based photographer. Major brings us a small collection of some stunning photography, the subject being the Alps. It’s hard to believe these shots aren’t staged. I’m in love with the first shot.

Menosunocerouno Logo Collection

Designer: Menosunocerouno

Here’s a collection of some of Menosunocerouno‘s cleanest logos and logotypes. Some interesting type experimentation thrown in there, as there always is in great logo work. Also loving the black and white displays, as the best logos always seem to look just as good in black and white as they do in color (if not better).

Moshun

Designer: Jeroen Krielaars

Short and sweet. This is really cool animated typography using simple shapes. I don’t know what would take longer, the static concepts or creating the motion?
