Anthon B Nilsen Annual Report

Designer: Heydays

Here is the annual report for a legendary company in the field of property, education and recycling. The aim of this report is to glimpse inside the company, at the individuals, on a personal level. It’s beautifully created with black foil blocking and three separate types of paper stock. Art direction and design was done in collaboration with Martine Holmsen and Berit Bakkerud at Plastelina.

I’m Back, With Mandalas!

Designer:  Thorleifur Gunnar Gíslason

Iceland Academy of the Arts student Thorleifur Gunnar Gíslason recently experimented with the technique of radius distribution. Needless to say, the results are beautiful. Gíslason calls them Tibetian mandalas. I call them great inspiration derived from geometric form and structure.

The Weight of Light

Designer: Liao Chan Guan Jing

The Weight of Light is a simple structure lamp featuring a unique way to operate light. It mimics the style of an industrial scale and is controlled by shifting the weight up and down. It’s a refreshing take not only on industrial design but on the idea of lighting a space with a minimal approach.

Reform Clothing Reformed

Designer: Dimitri Kalagas

Reform approached Dimitri Kalagas to give their marketing collateral a much needed refresh. The resulting images aim to be both futuristic and surreal. All coloring was done in-camera. The final executions include a catalog, a website overhaul and numerous poster. Photography done by Chris Tovo; styling by Nicole Collins; hair and make up by Natalie Burley; character illustration by Short.

Collider Chill Out Sessions Creates Small Worlds

Designer: Andrew van der Westhuyzen

After four years of Chillout Sessions albums, Australian agency Collider decided it was definitely time for a change. The new Sessions concept involves miniature ‘worlds’ literally creating a package holiday that has both escapism and a sense of humor. I think these are fantastic because of their intricacy.
