Mario Wagner Illustrations

Designer: Mario Wagner

Based both in San Francisco, USA and Cologne, Germany, illustrator and designer Mario Wagner continues to be commissioned by some of the largest magazines including Playboy and The New York Times Magazine as well as some big name brands such as Adidas. What is most impressive is that Wagner’s work is still done the old school way, with a pair of scissors, glue and numerous other materials.

Designer: Balenciaga

Footwear meets architecture in Balenciaga‘s latest fall and winter collection including shoes designed by Pierre Hardy. The shoes are made from a variety of materials (including plastic, wood, metal, and more).

UMF Holiday

Cheers,

Crazy NYC Mapping

Designer: Triboro Studio

This subway map, by Triboro NYC, evokes the rigid grid of the city’s layout, but also its chaotic nature at the same time: it’s printed only in fluorescent red. The studio stripped away all of the familiar color-coded subway routes to create a map that subverts its own function. It’s designed to a tight grid, but any legibility is foregone because of the use of one single colour.
