Minutuner

Designer: Antrepo Design Industry
I’ve featured a few alarm clocks and hand radios on this site in the past. Well here’s another great design. Described by its designers as an attempt to change our perception of time with a good dose of minimalism, the Minutuner is as simple as an alarm clock can get. Obviously influenced by a perception of time as a linear flow, it brings to mind the progress bars below our everpresent online video players, contextualizing our lives as finite things to be lived well and with no regrets. While not immediately available, it’s looking for partners in production, so keep your fingers crossed.

Adrian Newell

Designer: Adrian Newell
Graduate from University of Salford, designer Adrian Newell is “one to watch” according to Communication Arts. He has also been featured on many design blogs, and now here on Four Fifths Design. Adrian currently works at Traffic Design in London as a graphic designer and illustrator.

Wrist Music

Designer: Mac Funamizu
Here we find a transparent music player that slaps onto your wrist. Don’t want it clear? Just opt for an image or color graphics instead and use it as a wrist-gear.
