Printing Light

This is an insane break through that could simply put all lighting – lamps, lights, candles, windows – out of business: Printing light!

Ten minutes from my hometown of Delmar, NY, there is, what we call, the young tech valley, an area located in the Niskayuna, Mohawk region. Here there has been a surge of technological and electronic research facilities in the past ten years which are now producing incredible, innovative results pertaining to all industries. This is one of them.

With the use of the more modern OLED, researchers have found a way to print light. Printed on sheets, you could tack the sheet to a wall, wrap it around a pillar or even take a translucent version and tape it to your windows. But you would need to plug them into an outlet still (as of now).
