The Play Coalition

Designer: The Play Coalition
The Play Coalition is a group of aspiring designers who have collaborated to create works that have to do with the theory of design, and in particular, its social implications. However, they have a style that is portrayed in a subtle way, often creating a humor or friendly interaction with the viewer which allows for a unique appeal. Having met in college, the original founders collaborated to create something fantastic, something innovative. Their aim is to be more of a collective rather than a company, always open to new ideas, suggestions and most importantly, experimentation. Their work defines the passion and curiosity that all aspiring designers tend to possess. They are looking in new directions and playing with variation and experimentation, which in todays advanced world, can only mean impressive results in the future. Their purpose? Functionality and fun.

The Play Coalition were asked by Beta Tank to produce the packaging for their new sensory substitution lollipop, Eye Candy. Earlier this year I had touched on this product, and it has since been one of the most visited articles on FourFifthsDesign.com…
Here are some of their other projects, all which can be viewed in more detail at their website.
